Elbow bread
Lower East Side (Manhattan)
This week, we're thrilled to feature Elbow Bread, a modern, anti-occupation Jewish bakery on the border of Chinatown and the Lower East Side.
Elbow Bread comes from the creative minds behind Court Street Grocers, partnering with talented baker Zoë Kanan, whose impressive resume spans Milk Bar, Four & Twenty Blackbirds, Mile End Delicatessen, Sadelle's, and Vaucluse.
Together, they've crafted a bakery that brings together neighborhood charm with serious baking credentials, creating unique treats that showcase both creativity and technical skill.
Located in the LES, Elbow Bread focuses on reimagining classic favorites with unexpected twists, turning familiar comfort foods into something special and memorable.
YOUR BOX INCLUDES:
1x SWEET POTATO PRETZEL W/ SWEET POTATO ICING: A creative twist on the classic pretzel, featuring the warm, earthy sweetness of sweet potato in both the dough and the tub of buttery, sweet icing.
1x CHALLAH HONEY BUN: Rich, tender challah dough transformed into a decadent honey-kissed bun that bridges traditional Jewish baking with modern pastry sensibilities.
WARMING INSTRUCTIONS*:
Microwave*: 20-30 seconds on high
Oven: 5-10 minutes at 325F on a baking sheet or directly on the oven rack
