A Nationally Rated Vietnamese-American Bakery

This week, we're thrilled to feature Banh by Lauren!

The Two Bridges bakery blends traditional Vietnamese desserts with French pastry techniques.

Named one of the 22 best bakeries in the US by The New York Times in 2024.

From Gramercy Tavern to Chinatown

Founder Lauren Tran worked as a pastry cook at Gramercy Tavern.

She got laid off during the pandemic and started baking from home.

Her Vietnamese-French desserts sold as weekly "bánh boxes" and quickly gained a devoted following.

Kickstarter Success Story

A Kickstarter raised over $110k to open their brick-and-mortar in 2024.

Co-founder Garland Wong, a Brooklyn native, runs the specialty coffee program.

The coffee program features unique drinks like the Lime Drip — iced coffee with sweetened lime.

The House that Pandan Built

Their signature is the bánh bò nướng — a bright green pandan honeycomb cake.

Caramelized outside, gooey and springy inside.

They also make chiffon cakes in Thai tea and Vietnamese coffee flavors, plus savory Chinese sausage scones.

We can't wait for you to experience Banh by Lauren.
