Handmade Donuts Since the 1950s
This week, we're thrilled to feature Peter Pan Donut & Pastry Shop!
One of the only shops in NYC still handmaking donuts in-house every morning using the same recipes from the 1950s.
Current owners Donna and Christos Siafakas took over in 1993—they met in a Queens doughnut shop.
Christos worked as a baker throughout NYC since the early 1970s before making Peter Pan his own.
Family-Run With Original Recipes
Their sons Peter and Demetri help run the bakery—Peter is now head baker while Demetri handles afternoons.
Most donuts are original selections from the 1950s with a few additions by Christos.
Some employees have been with the Siafakas family for over a decade.
The original 1950s interior remains mostly unchanged—even the black-and-white price signs.
3,000 Fresh Donuts Daily
Baking starts at 4:30 AM and continues throughout the day.
Their red velvet cake donut is the best-seller and neighborhood icon.
Classic varieties include blueberry buttermilk, honey dip, sour cream, and crullers.
Rotating flavors like s'mores, French toast, maple, and holiday specials like St. Joe's Day zeppole.
We can't wait for you to experience Peter Pan Donuts!
