This week, we're thrilled to feature Cloudy Donut Co, the Baltimore-based vegan donut shop that's taken Brooklyn Heights by storm as the first Black-owned business in the neighborhood.

Cloudy Donut Co comes from founder Derrick Faulcon, who opened the shop with a mission of promoting community and inclusivity, choosing to "reverse gentrify" by opening in predominantly white areas to promote diversity and inclusion.

Known for their 100% plant-based, small-batch gourmet donuts made with ingredients like applesauce, coconut milk, and shortening, Cloudy offers over 40 unique flavors that rotate weekly, with incredible attention to detail like torching every piece of pineapple on their pina colada donut.

Located at 14 Columbia Place in Brooklyn Heights, Cloudy Donut Co has become famous for their cloudlike, fluffy, airy donuts in flavors like grapefruit mimosa with champagne glaze and a pipette of champagne, plus dog-friendly options like the Snoopy Doggy for customers with companion pets.
