Croissants That Will Stop You in Your Tracks
This week, we're thrilled to feature Je’Taime Patisserie!
Founded by Jatee Kearsley, a Queens native who studied culinary arts and taught herself the rest — including mastering croissants largely through YouTube, which makes what she's producing even more impressive.
Jatee describes her approach as putting a "Black girl spin" on French pastry — because she's Black, and she's got flavor, and that means you're not getting your average croissant.
She rotates her menu every three months, so every visit — or every delivery — feels like a brand new bakery experience.
World Class French Pastries in Brooklyn
The base croissant nails the holy trinity: flaky, chewy, and buttery, with that perfect honeycomb interior that tells you the lamination was done right.
Weekend specials push things further — think concord grape and almond, described by one reviewer as a PB&J from heaven.
Beyond croissants, her jumbo cookies are loaded and outstanding, and her croissant dough brown sugar bread pudding drizzled with caramel is the kind of thing that haunts you.
A Bakery with a Real Mission
Everything here is made fresh daily — Jatee is deeply intentional about what goes into her community's food.
She's donated to schools, churches, and youth programs since day one, and accepts EBT so that everyone gets access to exceptional pastries regardless of their budget.
Featured by ABC News, Food Insider, The Infatuation, and BKMAG — the buzz is very real and very deserved.
We can't wait for you to experience Je’Taime Patisserie!
