Win Son Bakery

Williamsburg (Brooklyn)

Treat Day is excited to feature Win Son Bakery, the Taiwanese-American counter-service spot that's become a neighborhood obsession since opening in 2019, known for putting creative twists on traditional Asian sweets and pastries.

Win Son Bakery is the wildly popular offspring of East Williamsburg's MICHELIN Bib Gourmand restaurant Win Son, created by chef Trigg Brown (Food & Wine Best New Chef) and Josh Ku after they bonded over food at a Bed-Stuy barbecue. What started as a counter-service spot across the street has become so beloved they just opened a second location in the East Village.

Their sweet game is seriously next level—we're talking chewy mochi donuts with that perfect bounce, buttery pine nut cookies that are genuinely addictive, and laminated bolo bao topped with flaky chocolate that'll make you question everything you thought you knew about Asian pastries. Plus they do tarts filled with mildly sweet egg custard that are basically little clouds of happiness.

What sets them apart is how they're doing authentic Taiwanese-American sweets without dumbing anything down—these are the real deal pastries you'd find in Taiwan but made fresh daily in Brooklyn. Everything has that perfect balance of not-too-sweet that makes you want to keep coming back for more, and honestly, their baked goods deserve way more attention than they get.

We can't wait for you to experience Win Son Bakery.
